Looking to upskill? OUC can help you return to the workforce
Are you looking to skill up for a new career in manufacturing or a return to the workforce?
Ohio University Chillicothe now offers financial-aid eligible technical certificates in automation and mechatronics, providing a quick path to in-demand careers.
Complete a certificate in as little as one year.
Earn these certificates as you work toward an associate or bachelor’s degree.
You can start either the Automation or the Mechatronics technician certificate in the fall. Admission for the Mechatronics certificate is also open in the spring.
These certificates were created as a direct response to an increased demand for manufacturing technicians in Ohio. You'll become workforce-ready for high-tech companies like Intel and other advanced manufacturers.
Ohio’s growth in high-tech manufacturing brings with it the promise of high-paying jobs. This industry directly employs nearly a quarter of a million workers in the U.S., but there is a current shortage of skilled workers to meet production demands, many in jobs with technician roles.
