State Patrol offers civilian opportunities

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is recruiting for multiple locations, including the Jackson Commercial Standards facility, with civilian jobs.

The Patrol has scheduled a recruitment effort that will take place on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Jackson Commercial Standards facility on 25 McCarty Lane, Jackson, Ohio 45640. 

This gathering will demonstrate patrol values, and showcase the important work their personnel perform as they demonstrate and discuss details of their respective positions.  Attendees can meet motor vehicle inspectors, motor carrier enforcement inspectors, dispatchers, troopers in investigative services, SWAT and aviation to learn about their positions. Recruitment staff will be on site to help with the application processes. Additionally, a variety of patrol vehicles and equipment will be on display while we are fostering new interest in joining the patrol family. 

 There are a variety of positions available in many areas around the state, not just Jackson.
